Atlantis is the only planet to be colonised by Edanists. The world has no land masses, the highest ground is about twenty metres below sea level. The Oceans are however teaming with
life which is extremely rich and varied.
Without land, Adamists would never have wished to colonise the world, would not have had the view to undertake such a long term investment. It seemed natural to
the Edenist that they should therefore meet the challenge.
It was seen as an opportunity to test bitek in a natural biosphere.
The population live on great floating habitats of Polyp, each capable of
supporting about 6000 people. Although there is some limited industrialisation, it is almost wholly centred around boat building. Everything else is imported.
The Atlantans export their greatest natural
resource, sea life. Many of the local fish are considered great delicacies throughout the confederation. The fishing industry represents about 90% of the planets revenue. There are currently seven orbital stations
that cater for the export and distribution of large quantities of the worlds agricultural produce.
