Ellis is a Joint Canadian, American and Mexican Colony. One of few joint programmes that were undertaken.
Each nation has settled one of the three large continents , during the first stage of colonisation each colony is settling equal numbers of new colonists to ensure that all three
have an equal chance to grow.
A great deal of effort has been spent ensuring that no friction occurs between the three groups. Many comentators joked that for every three farmers being settled on the world, a
diplomat was also being sent along. Having made it to the half centenary, Ellis looks like its going to be very successful.
The ability for the three programmes to pool many resources and mingle their infant markets has lead to a much more rapid development than would have been possible with only a single
national effort.
Farming and mining are still the only sources of exportable produce. Ellis has a rich ecosystems and has begun to attract tourists who come to see the resident ‘giant lizards’. While
not as big and varied as earth’s dinosaurs, they are visibly similar in general form. The Canadian continent has a wildlife problem, with some small farming communities claiming to have been attacked by horse
sized lizards. Mercenaries and Xeno-biologists are currently being contracted to investigate.
