Jospool is one of only a hand full of exo- terra compatible worlds. Rather than orbit the systems star, Jospool is in fact a large moon orbiting Tytus, a super giant jovian
class world.
The conditions around gas giants tend to be a little to energetic to readily allow life giving conditions. Fortunately Jospool, the outermost and largest of 19 moons breaks with
expectations. It is a large world with a dense atmosphere, and a high gravity. Visitors tend not to feel to good under the strain of 1.2 gravity’s, small children and the very elderly are advised against visiting.
The locals have undergone subtle genetic enhancement which has lead to heavier stronger bones, larger muscles and lungs which are better accustomed to the unpleasant volcanic taints
that are common in the lower lying regions.
The tidal forces of Tytus keep Jospools seismic activity very high, the equatorial sea is ringed with giant underwater volcanoes, along an equatorial belt of tectonic plates.
The colonial population is widespread, although slightly biased towards mountainous regions, where the air is cleaner and the dangers of tsunami and earthquake are reduced.
Although it’s a tough place to live, it is also the location of some of the greatest concentrations of precious metals and minerals found in the Confederation. The population enjoys
a very high standard of living, all citizens take part in governmental duties for one month each year, adult citizens participate in the creation of new legislature through a weekly round of referenda.
