Lalonde is a hot world with no polar ice and an equatorial region which is too hot for human comfort.
The colony was another late starter, with the Xenoc Tyranthca underwriting part of the development, in return for the placement of a small isolated colony of its own.
The settlements are all placed on the northern continent of Amarisk, mostly along the banks of a great river system called the Julliffe. At this early stage in the colonies
development, life is still quite primitive. The vast majority of settlers are involved in farming and agriculture. Lalondes ecology is less complex than Earths was, but is still considerably more diverse the most
that have thus far been encountered.
After a shaky start there is now quite a lot of confidence in the colonies long term potential. An asteroid has already been edged into high orbit, though it will be a long time yet
before there is enough industrial activity to make its exploitation economically viable.
Edenists have also seeded the system with a Bitek Habitat, Aethra. Although the Habitat is still embryonic and will not be fully grown for another thirty years.
