Ombey is the most recent colony world of the Kulu Kingdom. Discovered in 2467, It’s rich and earth like ecosystem made it a natural choice for rapid colonisation. The main
focus of the Kingdoms investment was to develop a world that could serve as the ‘bread basket’ for the Kulu, allowing for the generation of a large agricultural surplus which could be traded with the more
industrialised worlds within the kingdom, as well as exported to other Confederation worlds.
In 2615A.D. the colony is expected to have completely paid for the development loans which funded its development, at this point It will be able to move forward with plans to extend
the level of local industrialisation.
Thanks to careful management of importation and trade Ombey has become self sufficient for most technical needs. High grade manufacturing (starships, nanonics) are
bought in from neighbouring worlds in the Kingdom.
Ombey has developed twelve settlements in the Colonia asteroid belt. Colonia the shattered core of a larger world which fractured into the asteroids which now share its orbit.
There is a Cloudscoop operation on the Gas Giant of Nonouit, with the construction of a second Scoop planned for within the next decade.
