Competition

Instructions:  

Imagine that you are going back in time to change history by introducing some elements from the present into a situation in the past.  You may take anything into the past.  This is inspired by The Guns of the South and The Final Countdown.  How would history change if this happened?

Rules:

  1. No AK-47s in the American Civil War or USS Nimetz's at pearl harbor. 
  2. Set the parameters up front.  say, 1000 AKs, or one Aircraft carrier.  Your time travelers can only have one trip.  They can't pop home for more.
  3. Be reasonable.  Its makes for better AH. Don't overdo it or make it so easy for the winning side. Don't bring too many things or something that will win the war without any trouble.  
  4. Submissions to be in MS word and at least two pages long.  There is no maximum word limit.
  5. You can't vote for your own AH
  6. Submissions will be graded on imagination, style and consequences of the Time Travelers actions.  
  7. Unreasonable spelling mistakes will result in marks from the editor being taken off.

The voting will be by public option done in a form of proportional representation.

If the winner has that book already, he or she may negotiate with the editor for another book of similar value.

What if the Spanish armada had weather radar?

What if proper medicine was introduced to Europe during the black death?

What if the Aztecs were taught how to use the wheel or how to make gunpowder?
