My Son

Set midway through 'Awaken the Serpent'.

My son is He-Man.

I can’t quite believe it, but that’s what all the logic says.  No matter the situation, there’s no sign of Adam, but He-man is there.  Whenever Adam is around, He-Man is nowhere to be seen.

I was so worried and now I’m worried still.

I wondered if He-Man and Adam were lovers.  That would have been a disaster for the royal bloodline, and yet, I could not have argued with my son’s taste.

But now, its all too clear.

I never looked at He-Man and saw Adam looking back.

Not until today.  Somehow it never quite clicked with me until I saw the way the Snake Men treated Kobra Khan, just the way I used to treat Adam.  He had saved them all from the void and they were really ungrateful.  Hiss seemed to treat him ok, someone like Khan is a valuable resource, but the others generally treated him like dirt.  Just like Adam.

How he does it I don’t know.

But I know he’s Adam, He-Man is Adam.

And with the snake god heading to GreySkull, He-Man, Adam, will be fighting to stop him and his master.

He-Man’s not invulnerable, for all his strength.

I’m sorry Adam

Next time, we’ll have a proper chat.

If there is a next time….
