The mystery surrounding the disappearance of Teamsters union leader and suspected

organized crime figure James R. "Jimmy" Hoffa from his union’s Detroit headquarters

more than a year ago has finally been resolved. Examination of a skeleton found by

Michigan National Guard troops during a reconnaissance sweep of the Flint area four

days ago has confirmed it through dental records as belonging to the late Mr. Hoffa.

The controversial Teamster boss was discovered with a gunshot wound to the skull

and a rusted .44 pistol clutched in one hand, implying Hoffa’s death may have been a

suicide.

Hoffa, a frequent target of federal investigation during the late Robert Kennedy’s

nooses inside Lennon’s flat; in a two-page suicide note written by McCartney sometime

this afternoon, the group cited the collapse of their musical careers and the death of their

friend and drummer Richard Starkey(a.k.a. Ringo Starr) from RDS four days earlier as

the events which crystallized their decision to take their own lives...

Only two years have passed since the RDS pandemic began, but given the

staggering toll the virus has taken on humanity those years seem like a century.

Cities, peoples, entire nations have been wiped out by this scourge, and its

efficiency at killing its victims is increasingly outstripping the human race’s ability

to reproduce...

Someday our descendants, if we’re lucky enough to have any, will be astonished

to learn that there was actually a time when people worried about the earth becoming

too crowded, that the words "population implosion" weren’t always a part of the

average American’s vocabulary...

I was just reading in the paper this morning about how President Johnson’s

still holed up somewhere in the Dakotas...

O2: I thought he was at Camp David. Over.

O1: Nah, he split from there months ago. Besides, it got burned down during

the riots in Washington last week. They damn near torched everything-- the

White House, Capitol Hill, Pentagon, Library of Congress, you name it. They

even got the FBI...

O2: I’m surprised anyone’s left alive in DC to burn anything. That Morgan’s

bug’s killed, what, 170 million people?

O1: 175, not counting people who died from stuff like starvation and civil

wars. Say, you been able to raise anybody in Atlanta?

O2: Not a whisper. Atlanta, Miami, New York, Boston, Detroit, Little Rock....
